Cloak File is a client-side file encryption and decryption tool. All cryptographic operations occur locally in your browser. No files, passwords, or encryption keys are transmitted to or stored by us.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Remembering and securely storing your passwords
- Maintaining backups of important files
- Ensuring encrypted files can be decrypted in the future
If you lose your password, your encrypted files cannot be recovered.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Cloak File for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable laws or regulations. You are responsible for how you use this tool.
No warranties
Cloak File is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any specific purpose.

While Cloak File uses modern cryptographic standards (AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2-SHA256), no software can guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge and accept this risk.

Cloak File relies on standard browser APIs and may include open-source components. Each component remains subject to its respective license.
